SSC CGL Recruitment 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for the posts of Group B and Group C posts in various central government ministries. As per official notification, there are 12, 256 vacancies for which online Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held in August- September 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 21st May 2026 and will remain open until 22nd June 2026 (11PM). The candidates must have qualified Graduation or above from any recognized board or institution are eligible to apply online. Additionally, the applicants age shall not be less than 18 years & must not exceed 32 years (depending on the post) as of 1 August 2026. The candidates will undergo through multiple rounds of selection process i.e., Tier 1 (Computer Based Test), Tier 2 (Objection Paper, Skill Test in CBT mode), Documents Verification, Medical Examination & Final Merit List.

Education Qualification
A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline is required for most SSC CGL posts.
Candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) must have Mathematics as a subject in Class 12 or a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II requires a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a subject in all or some semesters/years.
Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) prefer candidates with qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBA (Finance), M.Com, or related fields.
